FALLON FORUM

Next meeting- TBA.

Mission Statement

The "Fallon Forum" and it's members believe that each of us shares a personal and professional responsibility to provide skilled and compassionate care to those we serve.  Furthermore, we all must endeavor to treat our profession, each other, and to those we come in contact with the course of our duties, with dignity and respect.

It is our intent to foster and promote an environment where individuals maintain a high degree of professionalism, and where all employees are welcome and given the opportunity to grow.  To achieve this level of service and to ensure a positive working environment, we do not, and will not condone disrespectful or demoralizing behavior through silence.  We embrace the concept of leadership through example in achieving our goals.

Hello and welcome to the Fallon Forum web page!  Many questions have been asked over the past several weeks about what the Forum is and what they are about.  Thanks to Chris for sharing his website with us to be able to answer those questions!

The Fallon Forum is comprised of Fallon uniformed employees from all divisions of Fallon Ambulance who share a common belief that we as employees have the ability to not only provide complete, professional care of our patients but to create a work environment that is respectful of our fellow employees.  A sentence that took only 15 seconds to write opens up many projects that will require the involvement of all uniformed personnel to accomplish!

It is important for all to realize this is an employee driven forum where your thoughts and ideas are welcomed.  We only ask that you take the time to share your ideas with likeminded people who are striving to make Fallon Ambulance the workplace that we all take a personal pride in working in.  In saying this, we also ask if there is an issue at hand that you would like to present please also bring with you possible resolutions!  Remember the operational structure we need to work within and to focus on what we as employees could do to make the improvements you are looking for.  The Forum is a way to possibly "let off some steam" but it has to be tempered with positive resolutions!

Announcements

On May 5th, Bob Schriever told us his story of survival and how AED's save lives.  It was a wonderful, emotional, and inspirational presentation.  Thanks to those who attended.

The September Fallon Forum was attended by 12 people, some of whom were new faces. Many thanks to those who took time from their busy schedules to attend! It was decided by the group that in addition to our on going endeavors at Fallon Ambulance we as a group would become involved in outside community activities. Some of the activities that spurred interest are as follows and we invite anyone with shared interests to please contact the point people for more information.

Memory Quilts. Cathy Costello is looking for donations of old flannel shirts, jeans etc to be used in making lap quilts/blankets to be donated to an area Alzheimer's unit. This is a great idea that with a little effort from a group would bring much enjoyment to the recipients! If you have donations or want further information please contact Cathy at 617 529 1113. Thank you!

The next meeting of the Fallon Forum is TBA.  Stay tuned for details.
